Mummas Together Group
Mummas Together is a peer support group that supports expectant and new mums of Black heritage with their mental health. As well as providing a safe space for this community to talk about mental wellbeing, the group helps to link them with wider health services and support available. The peer support focuses on a range of different topics related to maternal health and wellbeing, and invites a guest speakers to attend regularly, while having a mental health midwife onsite every week.
We Are Here For You
In partnership with South East London Integrated Care and Family Hubs, The Motivational Mums Club presents ‘Mummas Together Group’.
We aim to provide information on the services on offer for Mothers in the Bexley and Greenwich borough but also gather feedback on the services they have accessed. Third sector support in Bexley is not as diverse in offer as in neighbouring boroughs,
and we are changing that for Bexley. The Mummas Together Group (Bexley Edition) is the only peer support group dedicated to Black mothers in the Borough of Bexley.
It’s a FREE group and provides a relaxed and informal setting for Mums to meet one another and speak with members of the following teams whilst children play in a dedicated play area: mental health, infant feeding, pelvic health, maternity, health visiting and more.
